commission FOR a private collection / Mr. & Mrs. V
Their order: make an oil painting with specific size and specific main colors.
They found a painting they want in my past works. They wanted to install on the wall in their living room. They have theme for the living room and wanted a painting for the theme.
I used real moon gold for it. The color of the painting is a little changeable depending on the angle because I layered again and again.
This is one of U-tou-tou series.
2021
commission FOR a music event / ILLTEATRO OPERA CHIYODA
at Sumida Triphony Hall (Tokyo), October 10th, 2021
Their order : make something for each songs which they play at the concert.
I studied each composers' history and song's lyrics meaning from them. Then listened to singers's song which they recommended a lot. Fist, I choose Japanese
historical paper Otrinokoshi because I felt asian taste from them. Strauss and Mahler's song which they play have similar themes. However I found Strauss's songs are melodious but Mahler's songs
are dramatic. I showed the difference but at the same time I showed the similar themes as well. Ichiyanagi's one is very different from others; very free but it was for the same concert so I used
the same material as for other songs.
After making them, I realized that Strauss's winkles on his face are beautiful and drew it on ipad. They loved it so I drew Mahler and Ichiyanagi. They used the data for the video which was projected at the concert.
The organizers / singers, Mr. Ando and Mrs. Yamahata have strong love and passion for classic songs. I was impressed them so much.

commission FOR a CD jakect / "soul flow" by david whitman
Their order: make an art for his new album.
First, I was concentrate on what I feel when I listened to all songs for the album. Then I listened them with titles he put again and again. I felt family love: warm, calm, fun, and happy then I chose the material, very thin rice paper, ink, crayon and wood.
I felt he has fun for making songs and I had fun as well.

commission FOR a hotel's collection / waterline
Their order: make an huge strait oil painting with specific size. The theme and color are the same as my oil painting which the villa's owner bought in the
past.
The painting which he bought was the first painting of U-TOU-TOU series. I layered colors again and again.
It was my first commission work. I was so glad he loves it and he ordered that when he built the beautiful villa.
